OPEN ARCHITECTURE
Efacec and Tritium were both among the best known DC charging suppliers of the past decade, and both went through insolvency proceedings in 2024. Their operators are now sitting on installations whose spare parts, firmware and certifications depend on a single company. Proprietary power electronics plus closed software means one supplier decides the future of your depot.
The EcoG power block is built from catalogue parts instead: power modules, contactors, terminals and fuses you can order through any electrical wholesaler. AC/DC and DC/DC modules from an ecosystem of more than 100 pre-integrated components share one mounting slot and one driver model in EcoG OS, so a different manufacturer's module drops into the same space with no system change. The full design is available in E-PLAN, and several panel builders manufacture it regionally on our reference architecture.
EcoG OS is developed and operated in Germany. Data access, load management and third-party integrations run over open interfaces, so control of your installation stays in Europe and with you.
ONE POWER BLOCK, MIXED USE CASES
Trucks, vans and cars share the same yard and almost never the same charging need. A single power block of 320 to 1,280 kW feeds whichever dispensers you choose, bay by bay: MCS up to 1 MW and CCS up to 600 kW for heavy trucks, CCS up to 150 kW for vans and overnight charging, plus single and dual outlet, pantograph and ceiling-fed variants where floor space is tight.
Power then follows demand across the day. A 1.2 MW block can push 400 kW into two trucks at the evening peak and spread the same 1.2 MW across twelve charge points overnight, configured in LifeC or through your own EMS. Your existing connection capacity is used to the full instead of being sized for a worst case that never happens.
