EcoG takes the big leap across the pond in the course of its strategic expansion with the opening of the EcoG US office later this year – a special moment as EcoG started in Detroit, Michigan: “The U.S. charging market sees a significant acceleration of demand, not only because of the recently announced massive investment plan of the U.S. government, but also simply because EV models and volumes have been growing significantly. EcoG sees a win-win by supporting EV charger manufacturers in the US to enter the market with low lead time, reliable technology, cost efficiency of a market leader and to scale production fast. The goal is to increase availability and reliability of infrastructure for sustainable mobility fast. This is where we are convinced we can help the U.S. market players with our technology. ” – Joerg Heuer, CEO of EcoG.
The relevance of EcoG’s technology for the U.S. market has also been recognized by the U.S. government-led program “Select US Investment Summit”. EcoG won the regional Select USA Pitch competition and joins the Select USA Investment summit beginning of May to present its technology and the resulting opportunities for companies active in the U.S. and form valuable relationships with US representatives as EcoG settles down in Detroit.
The Consul General, Timothy Liston congratulates EcoG personally in the course of his visit to the Transatlantic Innovation Week in Munich. Timothy Liston discussed with co-founder Joerg Heuer the need for charging infrastructure in the U.S. and how EcoG and its technology can fasttrack US charging infrastructure manufacturing and buildout.
“The United States and Germany are continuing to lead on efforts to support transformational technologies that help reduce emissions, adapt to climate change and build the industries and infrastructures of the future. Innovators like EcoG are a great example of both cutting edge technology as well as the multifaceted benefits of a transition to a clean-energy economy. As winners of the Germany-wide SelectUSA pitch competition, EcoG is leading the charge in the development of scalable operating software for DC charging stations, and we’re excited to see their outcomes from attendance at the SelectUSA Summit in Washington DC next month.” —- Timothy Liston, US Consul General
